Managing Batches
Track production runs in Caska — create batches linked to products, move them through statuses, and maintain a full archive of completed production history.
The Batches module tracks your production runs. Each batch is tied to a specific product and records how many recipe units you produced, the run status, and any custom information you track.
Batches is a plan-specific feature. If you don't see it in your navigation, your current plan may not include batch production tracking. Contact support to learn more.
Creating a batch
Go to Batches and click New Batch
Click Batches in the main navigation, then New Batch.
Select the product you're producing
Choose from your active product catalogue.
Enter production details
- Number of recipes (production quantity)
- Batch date and status
- Any notes
Save
Caska assigns a sequential batch number automatically (e.g. B-0001).
Batch statuses
Move a batch through statuses as production progresses — for example, from In Progress to Completed. When a batch is completed, you can update the corresponding product stock to reflect the new finished goods.
Archiving batches
Completed batches can be archived to keep your active list clean. Go to the Archive tab to view all completed production history.
Custom fields
Add custom fields to batches under Settings → Batches — useful for tracking equipment used, yield notes, QC results, or any other production-specific data.
