Order Auto-Numbering

Configure Caska's sequential order numbering to match your existing system, including custom prefixes and starting numbers.

Caska assigns a sequential number to each new order automatically. You can configure the format to match your existing numbering convention.

Configuring order numbering

Go to Settings → Orders

Find the Orders section in your account settings.

Set your prefix and starting number

Under Order Numbering:

Prefix — text that appears before the number (e.g. ORD-, SO-, or your company initials)
Starting number — where numbering begins (useful when migrating from another system)

Save

Numbers increment automatically with each new order from this point.

If you're migrating from another system, set the starting number above your highest existing order number to avoid duplicates.

You cannot manually set an order number on individual orders — numbering is always sequential.
