SKU, GTIN, and Barcode Fields
Manage product identifiers in Caska including internal SKUs, retail GTINs, and barcode values for label generation and retail workflows.
Each product in Caska has fields for SKU, GTIN, and barcode. These are optional but useful for product identification, especially when working with retail buyers or integrating with label generation tools.
SKU (Stock Keeping Unit)
Your internal product identifier. Use whatever format makes sense for your operation — alphanumeric codes, abbreviations, or a numbering system. This is for your reference only and doesn't need to conform to any external standard.
GTIN (Global Trade Item Number)
The standardized number used in retail and distribution — this is what lives inside a barcode. If your products are sold in retail channels, you'll have GTINs assigned by a standards body (typically GS1). Enter it here for reference and export purposes.
Barcode
A barcode string or image reference for the product. This field can be used by label generation tools or export workflows that need a barcode value.
Where these fields appear
These fields are on the product detail page and can be shown as columns in the product list using the Columns toggle. They're also included in product CSV exports.
