Tracking Product Stock
Understand how Caska tracks finished product stock levels, logs every movement, and alerts you when stock runs low.
Caska tracks finished product stock levels and logs every movement — so you always know how much you have on hand and why it changed. This feature is enabled when your account is set to the batch-create method.
How stock is tracked
Product stock changes in two ways:
- Order fulfillment — stock is decremented automatically when an order is created
- Manual adjustments — you can add or subtract stock directly from a product's detail page, useful for reconciling after a physical count or correcting errors
Viewing stock history
On any product's detail page, scroll to the Stock History section to see a log of all stock movements with dates, quantities, and references.
Setting stock threshold amounts
On any product's detail page, scroll to the Sellable Units Inventory section to set the amount for that will trigger a low stock alert.
Setting up low stock alerts
Go to Settings → Account → Notifications
Find the Notifications section in your account settings and toggle the Product Low Stock Alerts on.
Configure product stock alerts
Once toggled, set the notification frequency (daily or weekly).
Save
You'll receive an email alert when any product falls below that level.
See Notification Alerts for all configuration options.
Stock and batch production
If you use the Batch-create method, completing a batch will update the corresponding product stock to reflect available sellable units. See Managing Batches for details.
