Stock Movements
Understand how Caska logs every inventory stock change — restocks, order fulfillment, and manual adjustments — giving you a complete audit trail.
Every change to an inventory item's quantity is logged as a stock movement. This gives you a complete audit trail of where your materials went and why.
Types of movements
Restock — stock added when you receive a delivery. Logged manually when new stock arrives.
Order fulfillment — stock consumed when a product order is created. Caska calculates the quantity to deduct based on the product's recipe and order quantity.
Manual adjustment — a direct correction made from the item's detail page, typically after a physical stocktake.
Viewing stock history
Open any inventory item and scroll to the Stock History section to see a chronological log of all movements — quantity, type, date, and the order or event that triggered it.
Making a manual adjustment
If your actual stock count doesn't match Caska, you can correct it directly from the item's detail page. Manual adjustments are logged in the movement history so the discrepancy is visible.
Low stock alerts
Set a low stock threshold on each item and Caska will email you when stock drops below it. Configure the frequence of these notifications under Settings → Notifications.
Low Inventory notices
Caska will alert you when an inventory item will run out in the next 7, 14 or 30 days based on the current number of orders or batches entered. You will see these notices in the Inventory widget on the dashboard, via email and the list of inventory details underneath each order section. This helps keep track of not only how much inventory you need, but also when you'll need it.
