Custom Fields
Add custom data fields to capture business-specific information that isn't covered by Caska's standard fields — available across Customers, Products, Inventory, Orders, Batches, and Timesheets.
Custom fields let you capture information specific to your business that Caska's standard fields don't cover — things like account managers, territories, contract expiry dates, or internal codes.
Custom fields are available on: Customers, Products, Inventory, Orders, Batches, and Timesheets.
Setting up custom fields
Go to the relevant Settings section
For customer custom fields, go to Settings → Customers. Each module has its own custom field configuration under its own Settings section.
Add a custom field
Under Custom Fields, click Add Custom Field. Give it a label (e.g. "Account Manager", "Territory", "Contract Expiry") and save.
Once added, the field appears on every record form for that module.
Filling in custom field values
When creating or editing a record, scroll to the Custom Fields section at the bottom of the form. Enter the value and save as usual.
Showing custom fields as columns
In any module list, use the Columns button to toggle which fields are visible in the table. Custom fields appear alongside standard fields in that menu.
Custom fields are configured per module — so a custom field added under Customers only appears on Customer records, not on Orders or Products.
